Scott Nicholls
Registered Physiotherapist
Scott did not follow a conventional path into physiotherapy. After working as a Chartered Accountant, he was drawn to a very different kind of work, one that involved being present with people rather than numbers. Watching a close friend help people rebuild their lives after stroke, and witnessing how meaningful that work was for both the therapist and the people recovering, he wanted to help make a difference.
Scott qualified as a physiotherapist and has since built broad clinical experience across neurological rehabilitation, post-surgical orthopaedic recovery, aged care, and disability. He founded Rising Phoenix Care to bring that same quality of care directly into people's homes, without the barrier of getting to a clinic.
Rising Phoenix Care is a fully mobile practice. We visit you at home, at no extra charge for travel within our service area.

Your first appointment is a comprehensive assessment at your home. Scott will take a detailed history, assess your movement, strength, balance, and function, and discuss what your goals are. From there you will receive a clear explanation of your condition and a personalised treatment plan. The first session typically takes 45 to 60 minutes.
Yes. Scott attends with a full kit of assessment and treatment equipment including exercise bands, portable assessment tools, and exercise programming resources. Home visits are designed to be fully self-contained so that no additional equipment is required on your end to get started.
Absolutely. We actively encourage family members and carers to be involved, particularly for the initial appointment. Having someone familiar with the client's daily routine and goals present helps us build a better, more realistic treatment plan. Carer education is also a key part of what we offer.
